My Day as Lead Cook

So the hierarchy is as follows:
Student employee - serves the food
Laborer - similiar to a janitor or custodian
Food preparer - chop, dice, and prep veggies, salad, and deli items
Cook- cooks the food
Lead Cook - head of the kitchen (under the direction of lead chef)

* Cool side not: Status is portrayed with the kind of hat you wear. Black chef hats are the top of the top here at ISU. 

The lead cook is responsible for the production and flow of the kitchen. They help manage everyone's breaks and lunch breaks. They plan the production schedule and tell the cooks how batch cooking should be timed. They are the go to people in the kitchen. If you need something pulled from storage, need help finishing a task, or need basic/general info, you talk to the lead cook. They are constantly running around and always on their feet making sure everything is running smoothly in the kitchen.
